The Music Won't Last

Suddenly thought of sharing this poem. It was once on my desktop because I really liked it very much, not only because of its beautiful sound when you read it, but also the meaning behind. It's actually PART of the poem because I edited it to fit into my wallpaper, now I can't find the complete poem anymore.

Have you ever watched kids

on a merry-go-round,

or listened to the rain

slapping on the ground.

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight.

or gazed at the sun into the fading night.

Ever told your child,

we will do it tomorrow,

and in your haste,

not see his sorrow.

Ever lost touch,

let a good friendship die,

because you never had time

to call and say hi.

You'd better slow down,

don't dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't last.
